Observer les insectes nocturnes

Cet été, OPEN (Observatoires participatifs des espèces et de la nature) propose une fois de plus d'observer les insectes de nuit et de partager les données avec eux. Matériel? Une lampe et un drap blanc.
Il s'agira d'attirer les insectes pendant une heure, puis d'évaluer la pollution lumineuse en comptant les étoiles d'une certaine constellation visibles à l’œil nu.
Les insectes nocturnes sont très perturbés par les éclairages humains (voir article précédent) mais les scientifiques ont encore besoin de données et ne sont pas partout.
Il existe en France moins de 300 espèces de papillons « de jour » contre environ 5000 espèces actives la nuit, soit 20 fois plus! Ces insectes pollinisent de nombreuses plantes.
